2. Go Gluten Free
Gluten free diets are a relatively new and completely unnecessary dieting fad. Moderate amounts of gluten are actually very healthy for the 93% of American who do not suffer from celiac disease, gluten ataxia, or a general gluten sensitivity or allergy. The reason gluten free diets seem to work is that, typically, gluten free results in the removal of simple and processed carbs. Sometimes, though, purchasing gluten-free foods can actually result in weight gain or health issues because, oftentimes food manufacturers will add sugar or sodium to make up for the lack of gluten in the food. This means more calories are being consumed all for the sake of a buzzword on the label.
